What does art have to do with business? More than you might think. The arts play an integral role in the culture of our towns and communities. When you think about it, the arts are the heart of who we are.
The Loveland Art Studio Tour (LAST) is a non-profit organization that has supported art and artists in Loveland for 14 years. The Studio Tour was created by artists for artists to provide a venue for Loveland-based artists to showcase our town’s exceptional visual arts’s offerings while providing educational experiences for the appreciation, practice and collection of the arts by Northern Colorado art lovers. In doing so, the Studio tour creates social and economic benefits for the residents of Loveland. This two-weekend tour typically brings in several thousand attendees from all over the Northern Colorado region during the second and third weekends of October. Running in conjunction with Loveland’s Night on the Town, the town anticipates this two-week event long before it starts. Promotion begins in August during the National Sculpture Show and Art in the Park (one of the country’s longest running art festivals). Along with a large physical attendance during the tour, digital viewing and engagement to this event includes thousands of viewers preceding the event, over the duration of the show, and after the event. Artists and gallerists often comment on how the Art Studio Tour visitors, from years past, still remember their experience from year-to-year. |
