I am richly blessed to be making a living doing the things I love most,” says Loveland artist, Scott Freeman. Born and raised in the suburbs of St. Louis, Missouri, Scott displayed a unique giftedness from childhood. “I wanted to be an artist for as long as I can remember wanting to be anything,” says Scott, “Though neither I nor my parents had a clue as to what that would entail.
Scott Freeman’s varied career in the arts has included working as a stained glass artist, working at Hallmark Cards Inc. as an artist/designer, working as a full-time fine art painter, and creating several public art installations. Currently he divides his time between his fine art painting and creating a series of new children’s books. Scott grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, and attended art school at the Kansas City Art Institute where he earned his BFA degree in Painting (1982.) He met his artist wife there as well, and they have 5 children together. The Scott, Mollie and family moved to Loveland, Colorado in 2001 to pursue their fine art careers full time, fulfilling a dream to live in the West. Scott’s award-winning work is now collected throughout the U.S. and overseas. His distinctive, sumptuous brushwork reflects his passion for life.
