Ethereal Icons are joyful, contemporary versions of the well known old school Holy Cards, that portray Jesus, Mary, Angels and all the Saints, originally intended to inspire contemplation and give comfort through each One’s specific attributions.
Unique composition and use of symbols dictate the intended meaning of each painting. Using my unique modifications of these Holy Cards I emphasize the strength of the female image thus bringing the art form into a more contemporary format. The evocative potential within each portrayal of love, loss and redemption are universally understood.
