My work is about quiet moments and the respite they can bring if only we stop and let them envelop us. Take a minute, breathe in deep, feel your heart rate calm and your spirits lift.
Each piece is a form of meditation as I slowly build the soft grays and rich blacks reminiscent of the black and white photography that first inspired me to become an artist. Through the use of graphite and charcoal I create images that are beautiful and accessible, a way for artist and viewer to connect. I use animals, primarily cats, to portray these tranquil feelings. |
