I want my photographs to intrigue the viewer, inspire wonder and promote a long look, to be a new and unexpected experience.
Using historic and alternative processes, I am working in defiance against today’s multitudinous glut of digital imagery, the daily barrage of dashed off iPhone photographs, each garnering only a brief millisecond of regard under the near constant blue light of our screens. Instead, in witnessing the handcrafted object, I want the viewer to be arrested in their glance, encouraging them to slow down, to go beyond just looking and instead, to really see, and then, to think.
