It is my intent as an artist to recreate an almost photographic appearance of my subjects; a gift with which I feel I have been blessed. My passion for dogs is portrayed in my portraits, expressing their unique emotions and character. Raising Guide Dogs for the Blind, Therapy Dogs and adopting abused dogs has lead me to gain an insight to their amazing souls. I strive to capture the spirit of each animal through soft pastels, letting them come alive on the texture of the canvas.
