Artist Training Sessions

This year we are offering three training sessions for artists. These sessions are being held in cooperation with the Loveland Business Development Center.

These sessions will give artists tips and tricks for marketing and selling so they can have a successful tour.
These sessions will be available in person or via zoom.  They are FREE for the studio tour artists and $10.00 for any other artist that would like to attend.
Training sessions are as follows:
  • 8/30- Breaking the Algorithm with Franklin Taggart, 6:30pm - 8:30pm at the Visitors Center/Chamber of Commerce (5400 Stone Creek Cir, Loveland, CO 80538 )
  • 9/13 - Art Staging and Display with Billie Colson, 6:30pm - 8:30pm, at the Visitors Center/Chamber of Commerce
  • 9/27 - Customer Engagement with Kat Hart and Amelia Furman, 6:30pm - 8:30pm, at the Visitors Center/Chamber of Commerce

Breaking the Algorithm - This session was held on 8/30 but you can download slides below
Social media is constantly changing the rules on who sees what, but there is one thing that has remained consistent - the algorithm LOVES interaction! Join us for this great working session to help boost your reach, market your art in advance of the Loveland Art Studio Tour (LAST), and learn how to collaborate with other artists to promote each other's art.

This isn't your typical Powerpoint learning session, it will be highly interactive. Please bring your laptop or smartphone with social media logins, images of your art to share, and a willingness to interact!

Staging for Success - This session was held on 9/13
If you're not seen, you won't sell! A well staged display can make the difference between an art buyer finding something they absolutely love and their eyes scanning past to the next item. Lighting, flow, placement, and visibility all make the difference between a jumbled display or presenting as a collection. Join the Loveland Art Studio Tour and Billie J. Colson of Independence Gallery as we examine what it takes to truly Stage for Success!

Customer Engagement - This session was held on 9/27  -- Watch video here
Kat Hart and Amelia Furman will walk you through building connection and relationships with customers from the first "hello" to "how will you be paying for your purchase today, credit, cash or ....?"
