My Studio
My work relies on color, form and pattern in that order. I am best described as an expressive colorist.My aim is to evoke the sense of joy I experience as I create paintings in the viewer as well.

Annie O'Brien Gonzales
Annie studied painting and art history at Oregon State University and received a Ph.D in Higher Education. In her career as a college professor she developed curricula, conducted educational research, published and taught adults in graduate and professional programs.
Recently she was selected as a Silver Brush Artist and certified as a Golden Artist Educator. Proficient in oil, acrylic, and mixed media she is a colorist who creates expressive images inspired by nature. She teaches painting workshops at Ghost Ranch, the Georgia O'Keefe Museum and other US and International venues. Her paintings have appeared in numerous shows and art magazines and are widely collected.
