Rene Hart / Hart Gallery & Studio
135 East 4th Street
Oils
Rene Hart's style of painting is a blend of impressionism and realism, as the aim of her paintings are to imply the nature of the landscape, and her interpretation of reality and emotional expression guides her through to the final stage. "I may not recall the mood of the particular moment, but years of observation are enough for what I want to say before I put paint to canvas." Still life, portraits and figurative are another of her favorite subjects to capture in oils.
Most of the time her images are not exact replicas of what she sees or remembers, rather they are impressions and feelings about the subjects - a sketchbook of facts and memories.
Rene Hart has studied with many fine artists, but considers herself a self-taught artist. A major influence however, "is to study great art", and painting for nearly 30 years is not enought. "Maybe another 30 years of this great privilege may be enought, and maybe not".
Rene has her own gallery in Loveland, Colorado where she divides her time between her own painting and teaching artists' workshops at her studio-gallery. Rene's paintings are in many private and public collections in the United States and abroad.
