I began my creative life working in interior design. I did commercial and residential interiors and was a member of the American Society of Interior Designers for 15 years. In looking for a more liberating creative path I moved slowly over to the artist profession revitalizing my art making skills through classes and practice.

I began seriously making art in the early 1990s. I drew, painted, worked with fibers and made prints. In the mid 90 I went to CSU to get my M.F.A. studying lithographic printmaking and painting. I started out doing representational work and while in graduate school made the transition to abstract work. I am currently painting larger abstract paintings, drawing, taking photos and making small works with fabric and embroidery.

I have shown my work at the Fort Collins Museum of Contemporary Art, the Lincoln Center in Fort Collins, in the CSU galleries and at galleries in Fort Collins and through an art Consultant in Denver.

My work, whether painting, lithography, photography, drawing or embroidery on cloth, is personal and about very specific experiences, people, places and objects.

I am inspired by nature, music, architecture, great design of many types, other artists works, fine craft, books and poetry.

I am very grateful to be working as a visual artist.
